The story of Els

“I am Els, almost 75, and I am not very mobile anymore. I often take a nap in the afternoon or do some housework. Then I really don't feel like running to the door every time someone rings the doorbell, while the delivery person is often gone again within a few seconds.”

I order more and more online. Not because I like it that much, but because it is otherwise difficult to go out for groceries or small things. It is practical and it saves me a lot of hassle.

But receiving those packages was often difficult. If I wasn't at the door fast enough, it remained unclear where my packages were. Sometimes they were left with neighbors, but my neighbors are almost never home. That didn't make it any easier.

Then I heard about a parcel mailbox.

A cousin told me she had one that the delivery person could put the package in, closed and safe. I was skeptical, but she insisted that such a thing was very handy.

We ordered one from HippoBox and my son installed it for us the next day. Close to the front door, where I can easily reach it. Since then I don't have to worry about running to the door. It gives me much more peace of mind.

“In 2025, such a parcel mailbox will actually be indispensable, especially if, like me, you are no longer able to walk properly.”
